Female doctor, her child infected with coronavirus

A female doctor and her girl child have been infected with coronavirus at Shibchar in Madaripur, taking the number of confirmed cases in the upazilato 17.

The woman is a doctor of ShibcharUpazila Health Complex and her girl is seven-year old.

The woman’s husband has also been infected with coronavirus who is now undergoing treatment at Bangladesh Kuwait Maitree Hospital.

Her husband used to live in Narayanganj and recently went to doctors’ quarter of ShibcharUpazila Health Complex.

ShibcharUpazila Health and Family Planning Officer DrShashankaChandro Gosh said initiatives have been taken for treatment of the female doctor and her daughter.

Doctors’ quarter has been put under lockdown and four doctors have been sent to quarantine.
