First coronavirus death reported in Satkhira

A man has died of coronavirus in Satkhira, the first dead case in the district.

The victim is Anil Biswas, 70, at Gholgholia village under Debhata upazila.

Satkhira Civil Surgeon Dr Husain Safaet confirmed the news.

Debhata Upazila Health Complex official Abdul Latif said Anil Biswas was admitted to the hospital on June 22 with fever and he died in the afternoon of June 23.

His sample was sent to the lab of Jashore Science and Technology University where he tested positive for coronavirus.
