Food inspector killed in Gopalganj road accident

A food inspector was killed as a trolley hit him in Launchghat area of Gopalgnaj town on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Mollla Moniruzzaman, 58, a food inspector of Gopalganj sadar upazila, and son of Chand Molla at Charmanikdah Purbapara village under Latifpur union of Gopalganj sadar upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of Gopalganj Sadar Thana Md Monirul Islam said a brick-laden trolley hit Moniruzzaman when he was walking along the road in the morning, leaving him critically injured.

He was immediately taken to Gopalganj Sadar Hospitals where doctors declared him dead.
Police seized the trolley and arrested its driver.
