Former govt official dies after falling into drain

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: A former government official, Shilbrato Barua Swapon (77), has died as he fell into a drain in the port city.
His body was found in the Chakai canal in the city's Miyakhanagar area on Monday noon.
He went missing after he fell into the drain around 11.30pm on Sunday from a wedding ceremony in Dampara area.
CMP Baklia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Pranab Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
