Four of a family slaughtered in Sreepur

Four members of a family have been slaughtered by miscreants in their house in Jainabazar area of Sreepur upazila, Gazipur.

Wife of an expatriate and her two daughters and a son were among the deceased.

The incident took place at Adabar village of Jainabazar in the upazila on Thursday (April 23) afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Fatema Akter (40), wife of Kajal, a Malaysian expatriate from Golabari village in Langair Union of Pagla police station in Mymensingh, her eldest daughter Nura (14), youngest daughter Haorin (11) and disabled son Fadil (6). They had been living at Jainabazar area of ​​Sreepur in their house on purchased land.

Expatriate Kajal's younger brother Arif found them dead in their house and later informed police.

Confirming the matter, Sreepur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Liakat Ali said that the police rushed to the spot after receiving the news.

Nothing can be said about the murder at this moment. Real story can be known after proper investigation, the OC said.
