Garment worker dies of dengue

Staff Correspondent, Mymensingh:  A readymade garment worker from Trishal upazila died while being taken to Dhaka from Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) early Wednesday.

Hafizul Islam, 35, died around 4.00am.

According to family sources, Hafizul was diagnosed with dengue when he was in Dhaka. He returned home after receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Hafizul went to MMCH with high fever on Tuesday night. Doctors at the emergency suggested shifting him to DMCH for better treatment.

Dr Laxmi Narayan Majumdar, deputy director of MMCH, six people including Hafizul have died so far at the hospital.
