Gazipur apparel factory fire under control

A fire that broke out at a readymade garment factory in at Jorun in Gazipur city's Konabari brought under control.

Eight units of Fire Service doused the blaze that ensued on Friday noon after their frantic efforts of nearly three and half an hour.

Lt Col Zillur Rahman, Director (Operation and Maintenance) of Fire Service Headquarters, confirmed the news.

He along with locals said the fire broke out on the fourth and fifth floors of Islam Garments around 1:15pm.

No casualties were reported.
