Gazipur reports 46 new coronavirus cases

Forty-six new cases of coronavirus have been detected in Gazipur, raising the total number of infected people in the district to 612.

District Civil Surgeon Md Khairuzzaman told this to the reporters on Tuesday.

He said 46 new cases have been detected with coronavirus positive after testing 316 samples across the district. Of the new cases, 37 are from sadar upazila while 6 from Kaliakoir, one from Kaliganj and two from Kapasia.

It was learnt that a total of 6,489 samples were tested in the district so far. Of them, 612 were tested positive. Most of the infected people, 333 are from sadar upazila while 107 from Kaliganj, 80 from Kaliakoir and 30 from Shreepur.
