Govt withdraws Kushtia lockdown

The government has withdrawn the Kushtia town lockdown, which was imposed on June 24.
Local administration took the decision after 15 days of shut in the area.
Kushtia Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Jubayer Hossain Chowdhury confirmed the matter on Tuesday night.
Following the decision, all shops and shopping-malls will be allowed to open 7:00pm.
UNO Jubayer Hossain Chowdhury said, lockdown was imposed in 21 wards of Kushtia municipality. But, the decision has been changed centering upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
