Habiganj coronavirus cases reach 261

Twenty-one new coronavirus patients have been detected in Habiganj, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the district to 261.

Dr Mokhlesur Rahman Ujjal, civil surgeon of the district, confirmed the information early Tuesday (June 16).

Of those newly infected, 11 were from Chunarughat upazila, five from Habiganj Sadar upazila, four from Madhabpur upazila and one from Nabiganj upazila, the civil surgeon said.

Of those infected originally, four patients have died of deadly coronavirus while 157 recovered so far in the district, he said.
