Habiganj put under lockdown

Habiganj district has been declared 'lockdown' in order to contain the risk of spreading coronavirus or COVID-19 in the area.
The decision was taken at a meeting held at the conference room of the deputy commissioner on Tuesday (April 7).
Confirming the matter to risingbd, Habiganj-3 lawmaker advocate Md Abu Zahir, said, "The district has been declared 'lockdown' to prevent the spread of coronavirus from today."
He sought cooperation from all to combat the situation created over the coronavirus outbreak.
Deputy commissioner (DC) Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, Superintendent of police Mohammad Ullah, Civil Surgeon Dr AKM Mostafizur Rahman were present at the meeting, among others.
