Highest single-day 69 Covid-19 cases reported in Lakshmipur

Lakshmipur reported 69 new coronavirus cases  which is highest number of confirmed cases in last 24 hours in the district.

With the new cases, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases stood at 678.

Dr Anwar Hossain, acting civil surgeon of the district, confirmed the information on Wednesday (June 24) morning.

69 new people have been found infected with coronavirus after carrying out tests on 280 samples, he said.

Of those infected originally in the district, 326 were from Sadar upazila, 119 from Ramganj upazila, 65 from Raipura upazila, 111 from Kamalnagar upazila and 57 from Ramgati upazila, the civil surgeon said.

Besides, a total of 14 patients died of the deadly coronavirus and 55 more people died with symptoms similar to that of coronavirus so far in the district.

Of those infected, 279 coronavirus patients returned home after making recoveries so far in the district.
