Hilsa laden truck falls into ditch, 2 killed

At least two people have been killed as a hilsa laden truck plunged intoa roadside ditch at Korpai post office area in Burichong upazila of Cumilla.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

The incident took place around 5:15am on Wednesday. The truck was heading towards Jatrabari of the capital Dhaka from Cox’s Bazar.

Moynamoti Highway Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Saiful Islam confirmed the news.

He said the truck plunged into the roadside gorge after its driver lost control over the steering.
