IU student killed in road accident

An Islami University (IU) student named Shihab Ali, 22 has been killed in a road accident at Mirpur upazila in Kushtia.

The accident took place on Wednesday midnight near Saifun Bridge of Kushtia-Meherpur highway.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mirpur Thana Abul Kalam confirmed the news.

Shihab Ali was the son of Monoar Hossain at Chuniapara of Mirpur upazila. He was the third year student of Law Department.

Shihab Ali was seriously injured as a vehicle ran over him. He was immediately taken to Kushtia General Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
