Imam dies while praying in Sirajganj

An Imam has died after leading salah in Moddhyapara Jame Mosque in Shelachapri village of Rupbati union in Shahjadpur upazila of Sirajganj.

The deceased was known as Ayub Ali, 70, son of late Deraz Ali Munshi.

Advocate Habibur Rahman, president of the masque committee said, the imam was leading the Eid-ul-fitr prayer around 8:00am on Monday. He fell to the ground and remained motionless during the prayer. He breathed his last in that prayer position.

Shahjadput police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ataur Rahman confirmed the matter.
