Indian held with phensidyl in Chapainawabganj

An Indian national was arrested with 39 bottles of phensidyl in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj yesterday.

The deceased was known as Tonik Sheikh, son of Khalil Sheikh, hailed from Narendrapur village of Malda district in West Bengal.

In a press release, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) said, a patrol team of BGB led by Nayek Subedar Shahinur Rahman conducted a drive in a truck around 6:00pm on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Indian citizen was arrested with 39 bottle of phensidyl.

Later, he was sent to Shibganj police station.

BGB-59 Rahanpur Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mahmudul Hasan confirmed the matter.
