Jamuna flowing 69 cm above danger level in Aricha point

The Jamuna River is flowing 69 cm above danger level at Aricha point in Shibalaya of Manikganj. Water level has increased in last 24 hours.

Md Faruk Ahmed of Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) in Manikganj confirmed this.

The flood situation has deteriorated in many areas as water level in Kaliganga, Ichhamoti and Dhaleshwari rivers has increased, he also said.

Manikganj Deputy Commissioner SM Ferdous said relief distribution has continued in the district. Many arrears of Shibalaya, Harirampur and Saturia upazilas have been inundated by flood waters. About 130 tons of rice and 1300 packets of dry foods have been distributed among the flood-affected people.
