Key accused held over Jubo League leader murder in Bogura

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-12) have arrested Firoz Hossain Pokir alias Fokra, key accused in a case filed over the murder of general secretary of Jubo League Subgram Bandar Committee of Bogura town Abu Taleb.

RAB-12 Bogura Camp Commander Assistant Police Super Mostafizur Rahman confirmed his arrest on Tuesday (June 23) noon.

Fokra, 25, is the son of Akashtara area of Bogura town.

Mostafizur Rahman said Fokra was arrested from Noagaon around 5 pm on Monday.

Fokra initially confessed to killing Abu Taleb, he added.

Detectives have also arrested two more accused in the Taleb murder case.

The Jubo League leader was hacked to death in broad daylight at Akashtara area of Bogura town on June 14.
