Man accused in 14 cases killed in Gazipur ‘gunfight’

A man accused in over 14 cases has been killed in an alleged shootout with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Pubail of Gazipur.

The gunfight occurred in Satkoa area early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Rabiul Islam Rabu, 32, son of Manik Mia at Tongi.

RAB-1 claimed that Rabiul Islam was listed drug trader and accused in 14 cases including murder, drug and firearms.

RAB-1 also claimed that a member of the elite force also hurt during the gunfight.

One foreign pistol, a one-shooter gun, 11 bullets and huge amount of Yaba pills were recovered from the spot.
