Man held for raping child in Gazipur

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-1) have arrested Mosharraf Hossain (35) for allegedly violating a child in Salna area under Gazipur City Corporation on Saturday noon.

Mosharraf allegedly violated the 12-year girl for several times on the night of September 27 enticing her of buying clothes. Later, he was arrested after conducting a drive in the Salna area around 1:30pm, said RAB-1 Camp Company Commander Abdullah Al Mamun.

Mosharraf confessed to raping the girl during the interrogation, the RAB official said.
