Medicine trader hacked to death in Pirojpur

A medicine trader was hacked to death at Pashchim Cholisha village in Pirojpur sadar upazila on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Kamrul Sheikh, 35, son of Abdul Mannan Sheikh. He was owner of ‘Ma Medical’ in Cholisha Bazar.

Deceased’s brother Masud Sheikh said Shakil, son of Altaf Sheikh, had been demanding extortion from Kamrul for last several days. As he refused to give extortion, Shakil along with his some associates hacked Kamrul to death.

Pirojpur Sadar Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Zafrul Hassan confirmed the news.
