Minister directs UNO to check harmful chemicals in tomatoes

Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder directed the authority concerned to check harmful chemicals in tomatoes.

The minister asked the Godagari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Nazmul Islam Sarkar and Agriculture Officer Shariful Islam to take steps in this regard on Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, Sadhan Chandra Majumder directed the authority not to send those tomatoes to market before checking.

Earlier, the minister was heading towards Rajshahi this morning. In the meantime, he noticed that farmers are spraying harmful hormone on tomatoes in Godagari C&B area.
