‘Minni’s parents also involved in Rifat murder’

Barguna Correspondent: Slain Rifat Sharif’s father Abdul Halim Dulal Sharif alleged that Minni’s parents were also involved in the killing.

He also opposed demand of handing over the sensational case to Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

Dulal Sharif came up with the statement in a press briefing at Barguna Press Club on Friday noon.

In a written statement, he said, “Police arrested mastermind of Rifat’s killing Ayesha Siddika Minni with proper evidences. Besides, 16 more accused were also arrested in the case and each of them gave confessional statement to the murder before the court. But a quarter is trying to take the case to different sector.

He demanded not to hand over the case to PBI for the sake of a fair investigation into the incident.

Dulal Sharif said, “Minni’s father is a murder of my sole son. Now he is trying to take the case to a different sector. So, I fear of getting fair justice. Minni’s father Kishore cheated my son concealing about first marriage of his daughter to Nayan Bond. He might not be victimized of such gruesome killing if they did not conceal about the marriage. So, Minni’s parents are involved in Rifat’s murder. Important information will be uncovered if they are arrested.”
