Minor boy allegedly tortured by pushing egg into rectum

A minor boy was allegedly tortured pushing boiled egg into his rectum at Gunodhar Bazar under Karimganj upaziila in Kishoreganj on Monday.

The victim was known as Shahnur of the area. Police have already arrested the alleged torturer Manik Hossain.

Family members alleged that Shahnur used to work at Manik’s shop at local bazar for food. On Monday, Shahnur threw away food he was served as it was stale. For this trifling matter, Manik firstly tortured him pushing boiled potatoes into his mouth. Later, he tied him upside down and pushed boiled egg into his rectum. At one stage, Shahnur lost the sense. Later, he got sense after he was poured water on the head.

Shahnur did not close the matter to the family members as Manik threatened to kill him. After three, he became sick as adjacent areas of his rectum burnt due to pushing boiled egg through it. Then, he disclosed over the torture in details to family members.

Victim’s mother said Shanur was taken to Shaheed Sayed Nazrul Medical College and Hospital as his health condition deteriorated on Thursday noon. Physicians gave him primary treatment and sent him to stay at home.

She demanded punished who tortured her minor son brutally.

Mominul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Karimganj Police Station, said though the incident took place before three days, nobody informed police about it. Hearing the incident by locals, alleged torturer Manik has been arrested.

Victim’s mother filed a case in this connection under the Women and Children Oppression Prevention Act. Medical checkup of the minor boy was conducted. The alleged torturer is being interrogated for confessional statement. Drive continues to arrest two others who were involved in the incident.
