Mob beating leaves 3 dead in Jashore

Three people were killed in a mob beating at Prembagh market in Avaynagar upazila in Jashore district early Monday.

Jamal Al Naser, Additional Superintendent of Police of Jashore’s Navaron Circle, confirmed the matter.

He said the trio was fleeing after stealing cows from Bosundia area of the upazila around 2:00am. Mobs beat them to death when they reached the Prembagh market area.

On information, Avaynagar police rushed to the spot around 5:00am and recovered the bodies of the dead, Naser said.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.
