Mother, son killed in Gopalganj road crash

Gopalganj Correspondent: A woman and her son were crushed under the wheels of a bus in Muksudpur upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shawon Begum, 34, and her son Sakib Khan, 8.

The accident took place on Dhaka-Khulna highway around 8:30 am.

Following the accident, angry mob blocked the highway.

Mostafa Kamal Pasha, officer-in-charge of Muksudpur police station and Taslima Ali, Muksudpur upazila nirbahi officer, visited the spot and requested the angry mob to withdraw the blockade.

Later, the angry mob withdrew the blockade at their request.
