Mother, two children burned in blender explosion

A woman and her two children were burned in a blender explosion in Manikganj on Saturday evening.

The victims are Asma Begum (45), her son Arif Hossain (17) and daughter Sumaiya (7).

They were immediately taken to a local hospital. Later, they were shifted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

According to DMCH sources, Asma Begum received 90 per cent burn injury, Arif 60 percent and Sumaiya 80 percent.

Asma Begum’s husband Ibrahim is an electrician of a textile mill in Manikganj.
