National ID compulsory for corona test in Madaripur

The Health Directorate has announced to bring National ID card while submitting sample for coronavirus test in different hospitals in Madaripur.

An announcement in this regard was made on Facebook page of the district health directorate page. Besides, people who went for giving samples on Friday were requested to bring National ID.

It was learnt that one Siddique of Pakdi area under Madaripur town got message on his mobile of being coronavirus positive, despite giving no sample for the test. Officials of the administration were searching for Siddque. Later, it was revealed that someone gave Siddique’s mobile number while submitting sample. As a result, the real infected person could not be found. A news in this regard was published on different media. Later, the district health division made compulsory of bringing National ID or birth certificate to submit sample for coronavirus test.

Madaripur Civil Surgeon Dr Safiqul Islam confirmed the news.

He said, “Person who will submit sample for coronavirus test must show National ID or birth certificate from now on.”
