Nephew hacked dead in Kolaroa

Satkhira Correspondent: A man has been hacked dead over land dispute in Kolaroa upazila of Satkhira.

The incident took place at Sonabaria village on Tuesday.

The deceased was known as Alfaz Hossain Gazi, 30, son of Shahadat Gazi of Dakshin Sonabaria village. Alfaz was a trolley driver.

Deceased’s elder brother Altaf Hossain Gazi said, “There has been a dispute with their uncles over land for six years. Around 10:30pm on Tuesday, their uncle Soleman, Ismail, Gani and cousin Nazmul suddenly swooped on their house and hacked my brother Alfaz.”

“He was firstly rushed to Kolaroa hospital. Later, he was referred to Satkhira Sadar Hospital as his condtion deteriorated. There, he was declared dead,” he added.

Satkhira Sadar Police Station Monir Ul-Gias confirmed the news.
