N'ganj returnee youth dies in Kapasia, sample collected

A 25-year-old youth who returned from Narayanganj with coronavirus-like symptoms has died in Kapasia upazila of Gazipur district early Wednesday.

Kapasia upazila health and family planning official Dr Abdus Salam confirmed the matter.

The deceased was a resident of Tok union in the upazila.

Dr Abdus Salam said the youth returned from Narayanganj with light cold and couch a few days ago but he did not visit any health centre. He died around 1:00 am on Wednesday.

Health departmdent officials have been sent to collect samples of the deceased youth and his family members. The local administration was informed about the entire incident, he said.

The administration has instructed the family to remain in home quarantine, he added.

Kapasia upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Ismot Ara have knowledge about the entire incident.
