One killed as bus overturns in Dhamrai

One was killed and 10 others injured as a passenger bus overturned on Dhaka-Aricha highway at Dhamrai on the outskirts of Dhaka on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Jahangir Alam Babu, 20, hailing from Char Krishnopur village of Manikganj Sadar upazila.

Locals said a Dhaka-bound passenger bus leaving from Jashore overturned in Kalampur bus stand on the road as its driver lost his control over the steering, leaving Jahangir Alam dead on the spot and 10 others injured.

Later, members of Dhamrai fire service recovered the injured and sent them to different hospitals.
