One killed in ‘gunfight’ with RAB

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: A suspected criminal was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in the district early Thursday.

The gunfight took place around 4.00am at Kothbaria under Bhujpur Thana in Fatikchhari upazila.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Rab-7 Assistant Director Mashqur Rahman confirmed the matter and said an AK-22 rifle and 63 bullets were recovered from the spot.

The body was sent to a local hospital for autopsy.
