‘Opposition party making provocative remarks on Rohingya issue’

Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the opposition party is hatching a conspiracy through making provocative remarks on the Rohingya issue.

The AL leader came up with the comment while speaking at an inaugural ceremony of eight projects in Cox’s Bazar around 11:30am on Sunday.

Informing that the incumbent government is not maintaining silence to deal with the Rohingya crisis, Quader said, “The government is continuing its diplomatic efforts to repatriate Rohingyas. To give a fresh momentum on the Rohingya repatriation, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, although sick, has made an official visit to the USA to attend the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Discussions are also being held on the issue with India and China.”

He urged the opposition party to help the government resolve the Rohingya crisis by not making any provoking remarks on the issue.
