Osmani airport gets new thermal scanner

A new thermal scanner has been installed at Osmani International Airport in Sylhet as part of preventive measures to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Civil Surgeon of the district Dr Premanando confirmed the news.

He said “The scanner was installed on Tuesday morning.”

Dr Premanando said hand thermometers have been used since January to screen passengers as there was no thermal scanner at the airport.
