‘Pirate’ killed in ‘gunfight’

Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: An alleged pirate was killed in a reported gunfight with members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab-7) at Matarbari of Moheshkhali upazila on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Nurul Quader Rana, 34, son of Nurul Haq of the area.

Md Mashqur Rahman, assistant superintendent of police (ASP) of Rab-7, confirmed the matter.

RAB men recovered seven firearms, including a foreign pistol, and 63 rounds of bullets from the spot.
