Probe begins in Jamalpur DC scandal

Jamalpur Correspondent: The probe body formed over Jamalpur DC scandal in his restroom has begun its investigation in field.

A five-member probe body led by cabinet division joint secretary Dr Mushfiqur Rahman reached Jamalpur DC office on Thursday noon and started the investigation.

A video clip went viral on internet that shows a male and female in a compromising position a few days ago. 

Media reports identified the man in the video as Jamalpur DC Ahmed Kabir and the woman as a staffer in his office.

The room shown in the video clip is the restroom in the DC’s office.

At very beginning of the investigation, the probe body visited the restroom. 

Later, they talked to the alleged woman. Around 2:00pm, the woman came out of the room and left the office after seeking five more days leave since Sunday.

The probe body also talked to officials and employees of the DC office.

Meanwhile, Ahmed Kabir was made an officer on special duty (OSD) on August 25.
