Rajshahi locked down after detection of 2 corona patients

After detection of two coronavirus patients in Rajshahi district, the local administration has locked down the district formally in order to contain the transmission of coronavirus or COVID-19 there.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Hamidul Haque announced the lockdown for the district in a public notice on Tuesday (April 14) morning.

The lockdown has been effective from 10 am today.

Public entry and exit to the district have been restricted until further instruction, the DC said.

All kinds of public transport and people's movement will also be restricted, he said in the notice.

But emergency services will remain out of the purview of the lockdown, he added.

Stern action will be taken if anybody is seen to flout the rules of the lockdown, the DC warned.
