SI kills himself after shooting wife dead in city

Staff Correspondent: A Sub-Inspector (SI) of Badda Police Station reportedly kills himself after shooting his wife to death in Rupnagar area of Mirpur on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as SI Abdus Sattar and his wife Soma.

Sources said that the incident took place at level six of a building in Rupnagar Area's road number 22. Later, the bullet hit two persons were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared them dead around 8:30pm.

Confirming the matter, Shahidul Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Rupnagar police station, said family feud may be the reason behind the incident.

The bodies were kept at Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Sub-inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost.
