Covid-19 cases in Satkhira rise to 639

31 more people have tested positive for coronavirus or Covid-19 in last 24 hours in Satkhira, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the district to 639.

Dr Jayanta Sarkar, medical officer of Satkhira civil surgeon office, confirmed the information on Saturday (July 25).

Three bank officials, three health workers, a member of Rapid Action Battalion and an employee of statistics office were among those newly infected with coronavirus, Jayanta Sarkar said.

A total of 3,621 samples were collected from across the country and sent those to PCR labs for coronavirus tests. Of them, reports of 2,730 people came in the civil surgeon office out of them 639 people were found coronavirus positive, he said.
