Schoolgirl dies of dengue

Staff Correspondent, Barishal: A schoolgirl has died of dengue while undergoing treatment at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH).

Suraiya, 14, died around 7.00am on Thursday.

She was the daughter of Badal Munsi at Padma village under Patharghata upazila in Barguna district and an eighth grader of Harichana Adarsha High School.

Professor Dr Asit Bhuson Das of SBMCH said Suraiya was hospitalised on September 10 with dengue fever.
