Shooting of minister’s gunman: Another youth dies

Another youth, who was shot allegedly by a gunman of Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM MozammelHaque, has died.

Mohim, 32, died on Thursday midnight at Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar.  He hailed from Mirzapur area of Tangail.

MdMoniruzzaman Khan, investigation officer and inspector (operation) of Kaliakoir Police Station, confirmed the matter.

Mentionable that on April 16, a young man was shot dead and another injured allegedly by a gunman of Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM MozammelHaque at Kutubdia in Kaliakoirupazila of Gazipur.

AlamgirHossainMajumdar, officer-in-charge of Kaliakoir Police Station, said Kishore Kumar, assistant sub-inspector, along with his two friends- Mohim and Shahid were chatting at a field in the dead of night.

At one stage, Kishore shot his two friends, leaving Shahid dead on the spot and Mohim injured.

After the incident, Kishore was arrested from Ashulia area.
