Son gets life for killing father in Natore

A Natore court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for killing his father.

The convict is Munsur Ali, 42, hailing from Shob Thakurpara under Lalpur upazila of the district.
Judge Saifur Rahman Siddique of Natore Additional District and Sessions Judge Court pronounced the verdict on Thursday.

He has also been fined Tk 20,000 with an additional six months’ jail sentence for failure to pay it.

According to the case statement, Munsur Ali killed his father Ghughur Ali on March 13, 2013 over sale of brinjal.
