Tangail trader fined Tk one lakh

A mobile court has fined a traderTkone lakh for illegally storing and selling TCB products atGhatailupazila of Tangail.

UpazilaNirbahi Officer (UNO)Anjan Kumar Sarkar conducted the mobile court at Sagardighi Bazar of the upazila on Thursday noon.

According to police and locals,acting on a tip off, a team headed by UNOAnjan Kumar Sarkar conducted thedrive at Sagardighi Bazar.

At that time, 36 liters of TCB soybean oil was seized from the local EkotaStore. Later, the trader,Haider Ali, was fined Taka one lakh or sentenced to three months imprisonment for non-payment.

Anjan Kumar Sarkar said such drives against dishonest traders would continue.
