Three detected with coronavirus in Barguna in 24 hrs

Three more people including a woman were detected with coronavirus positive in Barguna in last 24 hours, raising the total number of infected people in the district to 23.

The District Health Directorate confirmed the news on Friday.

The newly infected woman is resident of the district’s Amtoli upazila. She infected with the virus because of contracting her husband who had been detected positive earlier.

The other two infected persons are of Patharghata upazila. They both are residents of Kalomegh union parishad. Of them, one is worker who returned from outside.

However, the other could have yet not been known how he contracted with the deadly virus.

Barguna civil surgeon Humayun Shahin Khan said, “We have collected samples of 374 people so far. Reports of 293 were confirmed. Of them, 23 were detected with positive for coronavirus.”
