Torture after abduction: 4 arrested from Narsingdi

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four people conducting drives at different places of Narsingdi over torturing a person after abduction.

RAB-11 came up with the disclosure at a press briefing at its office of Adamjinagar of Narayanganj on Saturday noon.

The arrestees were known as Avit Mia, 28, Pappu Mia, 28, Maria Akter Monti, 23, and Badal Mia, 58. They all are residents of Narsingdi sadar upazila.

According to RAB-11, one Rasel Mia, 28, alleged that several men picked him up from in front of Narsingdi district court, claiming themselves as members of Detective Branch (DB) of Police on December 28. They made him senseless through anesthetic. Later, they tortured him after binding his hands, legs and eyes. They also filmed the scene of torture by mobile phone. They, later, collected ransom from his family.
