Tuhin murder: Father, uncle get death penalty

A court in Sunamganj awarded death penalty to a man and his brother in a sensational case filed for killing their five-year-old son Tuhin.
District and Sessions Judge Wahiduzzaman Shikdar handed down the verdict in presence of the convicts on Monday (March 16).
The death row convicts are Abdul Basir, 40, father of victim Tuhin Hasan, and his brother Nasir Uddin, 35.
The court acquitted victim’s two other uncles Abdul Musabbir, 45 and Jamshed Ali, 60 of the case as the allegations brought against them could not be proved as true.
Tuhin was murdered on October 14 last year.
His mutilated body was found hanging from a tree while two knives used in the murder were found stuck in his abdomen.
Later, his mother Monira Begum filed a murder case against unnamed accused.
