Two Rohingyas among three killed in Cox's Bazar ‘gunfight’

Three suspected terrorists including two Rohingyas were killed in a ‘gunfight’ with police in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar early Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Jamil, 20, son of Fajol Ahmed, Asmot Ullah, 21, son of Nabi Hossain and Mohammad Rafik, 24, son of late Mohammad Ali.

Three locally made LGs and six rounds of cartridges were recovered from the spot.

Pradip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge (OC) of Taknaf Police Station confirmed the matter.

The OC said there were allegations of abduction, killing and theft against the trio. The bodies were kept at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
