Two bridal party members killed in road crash

Two members of a wedding party were killed and six others injured as a tractor collided head on with a microbus carrying the wedding party in Domar upazila of Nilphamari district.

The accident took place on Domar-Debiganj road in the Paglabazar area of the upazila around 7:30 pm yesterday (March 10).

The deceased were identified as Runa Begum, 35, wife of Jahid Hasan and Sakina Begum, 50, wife of Paniyal Rahman.

The injured are Hamida Begum, 40; Mojid Islam, 35; Joyeeta Aktar, 12; Jannat Aktar, 10 and Latifa Begum, 22. The other injured could not be identified immediately.

Md Mostafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Domar Police Station, confirmed the news.
