Two burnt to death in Cox's Bazar market fire

Cox’s Bazar Correspondent: Two people were burnt to death after a fire broke out at Garzania Bazar in Ramu upazila of the district early Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as – store keeper Feroz Ahmed, 55 and his assistance Anwar Hossain, 15.

Quoting locals, fire service official Mehedi said, the fire originated in the shop of Feroz and spread to the adjacent areas instantly.

On information, fire fighters from Ramu and Cox’s Bazar rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control. Later, the fire fighters recovered two dead bodies from the shop.

Ramu Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Pranay Chakma and Ramu police station Officer-in-Charge Abul Khayer visited the spot this noon and provided Tk25,000 to the victims’ families.
