Two children drown in Bagura

Two children have drowned in the river Jamuna at Sonatala village under Bagura district.

The deceased were identified as Shakil Hossain, 14, son of Nannu Mollah at Radhakantapur village under Pakula union, and Amin, son of Putu Mollah of the village.

Abdullah Al Masud Chowdhury, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sonatala Police Station, confirmed their deaths.

Being informed by locals, police recovered the bodies at 7.00pm on Saturday, he said.
